  • Yes! Through the Trees is a 501(c)(3) organization. All financial contributions and in-kind device donations are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law. We will provide a donation receipt for your records.

  • We will provide you with a donation acknowledgment receipt when you donate your device(s). This receipt will list the items you donated (e.g., "1 laptop," "2 smartphones"). Per IRS guidelines, it is the donor's responsibility to determine the fair market value of your in-kind donation for your tax purposes.

  • Thank you for your support! Monetary donations are crucial for our mission. You can make a secure gift:

    • Online

    • By Mail: Checks can be made payable to "Through the Trees" and mailed to PO Box 121, Brevard, NC 28712

    • In-Person: We accept financial donations at our resale shop

  • Device donations are the heart of our mission, but cash donations are what keep it beating. A donated laptop often needs a new $40 battery, a $20 charger, or a $30 hard drive to be truly useful. Your financial gift directly pays for the parts and software needed to turn a donated device into a complete, work-ready device.

    • Purchase replacement parts (batteries, screens, chargers, etc.).

    • Buy software licenses to ensure all computers are legal and secure.

    • Pay for our secure data-wiping and refurbishing tools.

    • Cover the operational costs of our program, allowing us to help more people.
